Babies first Boo!!

Posted October 31, 2007 22:51 , Comments (1)

This past week has brought a lot more first for baby Georgia. She got to wear her first costume, and was an adorable Koi Fish for Halloween!!
Earlier that day she played in her "3 in 1" toy with her Uncle JB. Last week she posed in a few pictures with her cousin Jillian and then shot up to Hendersonville, NC to pick out a pumpkin and some apples.
She has cooperated nicely with all of her new foods, except Peas. Of all the vegetables to dislike, I can't believe she doesn't like peas!!

A family weekend

Friday Dad and Georgia went to Aunt Marcie and Uncle Maciej's to see Max on his 2nd birthday. On Saturday we all waited for the birth of baby Jillian, she finally arrived at 12:29 AM on Sunday, October 14th.
She has had a really big week. She loves rolling over and chewing on her toys and rattles. She even sleeps on her side. She also has begun eating applesauce, carrots, and pears! Next week...Sweet Potatoes.

Guess What....??

Georgia is becoming such a big girl. She stayed at her Yai Yai's for the weekend and found her feet. She has been grabbing them and pulling them to her face ever since.
She has also been to the doctor for her 4 month check up and received plenty of shots. The doctor gave the go ahead for solids and she is three days into her first week of applesauce. After the initial funny faces she now eats a healthy portion.
She has become very vocal and make some of the strangest noises. They aren't all cute coos, some are almost alien.
The biggest change is that today, only an hour ago she rolled from her back to her belly!! I was so excited. We will post the pictures tomorrow. My little booga is growing leaps and bounds.

Just when you think it's safe...

This week her Uncle Jason drove all the way from Greenville just to babysit her for a few hours! They had a lot of fun and he sent out tons of pictures, making everyone jealous.
Georgia has been going to bed from around 9pm and not waking up until 5am for a quick feeding and then back to sleep for another three hours. We really thought that we had figured everything out, that was until she decided to revert back to waking up every 2 or 3 hours for no reason.
On the plus she spends hours awake watching a baby Einstein, gazing up at her mobile, or playing in her bouncy seat. She does have a new favorite seat and it is her Bumbo. It is fun watching her react to colors, sounds, and lights now.
We think that she will be teething early because she is drooling and constantly gums her fist.
All in all it seems like the moment you get comfortable with a stage it changes on you. I guess this is something I should expect for the next 20 years!

Another first!!!

For the last few weeks Georgia has been trying to roll over! She spends all of her energy doing pushing her little body to the side and then falls asleep due to exhaustion. Well she is that much closer. She flipped from belly to back yesterday. It won't be long before she is walking out the door.
Be sure to look at the pictures of her in her bouncy seat with her hair sticking up and her eyes wide. Andrew said that she was smiling and every time the flash came on the camera, she made this funny face.
