Big Times
Georgia had a rough last week. The molars are officially coming in. Even though she already has 8 teeth, I believe these are the hardest on her. Last Thursday she was so sad. She spent an entire hour and half just laying in my lap. I have never seen her so inactive. She is much better now.
We took her to Fripp last weekend for Caroline's wedding. She had so much fun taking walks and going to the playgrounds. She also took her first two consecutive steps without falling down. She took the steps toward Andrew. It was so sweet. Now she practices standing on her own all the time.
I will be putting pictures up very soon.
Crazy Days
I have given in to giving Georgia undivided attention when she is awake. On the one hand it has made my life easier because she seems very happy, on the other hand my house looks like it has been ransacked!
Georgia has picked up the new habit of screaming when she doesn't get what she wants (like the computer). She doesn't scream for long, she just wants you to know she is angry. In fact she is screaming at me right now.
She also just had her accident in which she pulled a small table onto her. She was ok, but now resembles Harry Potter.
She definitely keeps me on my toes which leads me to wonder why I haven't lost more weight!
Been Busy
We have been keeping ourselves very busy this last month. A few big changes are the 7th and 8th teeth that have come up. She now has all 8 front teeth and I believe that a set of molars will soon be arriving.
She has been enjoying true solids this past month. Cheerios and puffs make her smile. Yobaby yogurts are still her favorite.
She enjoys peek-a-boo and all the eye contact you can give her! I love her laugh and the way she mimics your sounds while clasping her hands together with excitement!
Her first Easter was sweet. I can't wait till next year when she can hunt for eggs. She wore a sweet blue dress that my cousin Valerie had made for her daughters.
No stopping her now
Thanks to all who continued to encourage her. Georgia officially crawled to Andrew, her first time ever, last night. We were so excited.
If that wasn't enough, yesterday morning I went to get her and she was standing in her crib.
I guess that we will have to be on full alert from here on.
Eighth Month-a-versary
Georgia celebrated the beginning of her 8th month on Fripp Island with her parents and her babcie. We took a lot of walks and started on proteins. She now has chicken once a day and her foods are less pureed.
One thing that we dreaded beginning was brushing her teeth, but we started it last week and she really liked it.
She also really enjoys being in her baby wrap and facing forward. We have been going to baby gym classes and she enjoys flips and jumps a lot.
All in all we are having a great time and I really love this age!
