Georgia's Baptism
We arrived in Poland this passed Saturday and we have had a wonderful time. We are staying in the country just outside of Krakow.
Georgia is really enjoying time with her cousin's and her babcie. She has been going for long walks and eating lots of fresh bread. Fortunately she as not had any teething issues and acclimated nicely to the time change. Her first night she slept 13 hours straight.
Yesterday we took her to the Dominican church and had her baptized in the chapel of the church we were married in. It was a beautiful service.
This Saturday we head back to Warsaw and then on to Switzerland.
Hives and Teeth
Well Georgia officially has 12 teeth. It took a while to get there, but we did. Now we are due for a break...but wait she broke out into hives last Friday. They wouldn't go away and so we had to get a prescription and then finally five days later we see relief. Now on that sixth day, she is drooling, crying, has a runny nose, and her hand is in her mouth constantly.
I am not a professional but I do believe more teeth are coming. For those of you keeping track that would make 10 months worth of teething with only a few weeks off scattered through out.
I know we should be sympathetic to Georgia's pain, but don't forget me and Andrew!
On the plus side, she mimics the sound of bunnies. I read her this little Polish book with a picture of a rabbit and she tries to make the noises with me. It is really cute. We also went to the park and she loved being able to run around in the grass.
Beach Vacation
Georgia just spent a week at the beach. Unfortunately, she was teething the entire time. Two top back teeth have come in. Poor Georgia spent the entire week with a fever, diarrhea, and diaper rash.
For me, I was very happy to have so many aunts and uncles and a yia yia to help take care of her.
Hopefully all of the teething will be done by the time we go to Poland.
Time moves so fast and slow
I can hardly believe that Georgia is a year old. Over all time seems to move so fast, and yet there are days that never
seem to end!
I watched her nap on Saturday and tried to remember this little girl when she was only 6.5 lbs.
Her birthday was wonderful. Nearly everyone was there and everyone was so great. She smiled and walked around just observing the other children. Everyone seem to enjoy themselves. She received a lot of clothes and books among other things. The cake portion was of no interest to Georgia. She touched it to her lips and then spent the rest of the time trying to wipe it off her hands.
New Pictures
We finally have new pictures on her site. I had a few weeks of trouble but am back on track.
These passed few weeks have been great with Georgia. She has been sticking with a schedule for naps and we are trying to ease her into sippy cups. We aren't having much luck, but we have been making progress with straws.
I joined a gym with a really great 'Kids Area' and Georgia really enjoys it. She likes watching the other kids and walking back and forth. She still dances when she hears music but I think walking around is her favorite activity.
This weekend she went to her Poppy's 60th birthday party and went swimming with her dad. She got dunked under water and after that hugged him closely, but for the most part I think she enjoyed it.
